Congress raises Chinese incursion into Indian territory in Parliament

New Delhi (India), July 16 : Congress party has given Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok Sabha over “tension at Indo-China border,” as a group of Chinese soldiers wearing civilian clothes drove inside Koyul village in Demchok sector near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) where they wanted to stop the Tibetan refugees from celebrating Dalai Lama’s birthday on July 6.

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has given Adjournment Notice in Lok Sabha on “Chinese incursion into Indian territory”.Chinese soldiers crossed the Line of Actual Control (LAC) last week after some Tibetans hoisted Tibetan flags on the Dalai Lama’s birthday.The Chinese officials reportedly drove SUVs in Ladakh division of Jammu and Kashmir where some Tibetans were hoisting Tibetan flags.
The Chinese authorities reportedly lodged a strong protest against the celebration of Tibet Day which they perceive as a ploy to divide the territory.

 

Meanwhile, on Tuesday ,Bharatiya Janata Party’s parliamentary party meet is underway at Parliament Library Building in New Delhi on Tuesday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior leaders of the party in attendance.This is the second meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party after the presentation of the Union Budget.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar, and Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan were among the early leaders to arrive for the meeting.

Lok Sabha passed The National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill, 2019 on Monday which enables NIA to probe terror attacks targeting Indians.Union Home Minister Amit Shah ensured that the Modi government will use the National Investigation Agency (NIA) law finish off terrorism in the country.
