Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has said that Islamic Republic has the technology to hack US military drones.Guards’ aerospace commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh on Sunday has accused “enemies” of the Islamic Republic of trying to sabotage the country’s missiles so that they would “explode mid-air” but said the bid was foiled.

“We [hacked US drones] to tell them that ‘not only you failed to reach your goals, but we have infiltrated your systems’, and that was the answer to the Americans’ insolence,” Tasnim News Agency quoted him as saying.

“They tried as best as they could to sabotage a small part which we import so that our missiles would not reach their target and explode mid-air,” Fars news agency quoted the Guards’ aerospace commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh as saying.

There have been reports in New York Times that the US administration of President Donald Trump was pushing a secret programme aimed at sabotaging Iranian rockets and missiles by supplying “slip faulty parts and materials into Iran’s aerospace supply chains”.
