Joint action needed to fight Terrorism and cybercrimes in the region : Afghan NSA Hamdullah Mohib

Ufa, June 18 : Hamdullah Mohib, National Security Adviser of Afghanistan said that the region is facing hybrid threats from Terrorists, drug traffickers to cybercrimes and therefore,joint and coordinated actions are required to fight this evil phenomenon.The Afghan president’s most senior war adviser, Hamdullah Mohib lead a delegation to attend the 10th International Meeting of High-level Officials Responsible for Security Matters, held in Ufa, Russia.

In addition to bilateral and multilateral meetings, Mohib said, “There is high concentration of hybrid threats in our region, and it requires collective action to fight; In this context, there’re several issues to be addressed in order to ensure national security of our countries & improve regional socio-economic development.”

“There is a chain — from production to trafficking to processing and consumption — that include not just Afghans but many other countries in the region and beyond. Joint and coordinated actions are, therefore, required to fight this evil phenomenon,”he said.

“Cybercrimes are another means of hybrid warfare that threaten our countries. Afghanistan stands ready to enter into bilateral & regional partnerships to limit & eliminate the use of the cyber space by destructive elements that create terror in our societies,” he said.
