Modi in Japan live: PM Modi meets Shinzo Abe

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Osaka on Thursday and discussed broad range of topics of mutual interest.

Japanese PM Shinzo Abe welcomed Modi and said, ” Once again would like to offer my hearty congratulations to you for an overwhelming win in elections. Also, next time it is my turn to visit India and I am looking forward to my visit.”The Indian diaspora in Japan arrived in large numbers to welcome the prime minister at the airport. The PM was seen responding to their greetings with a smile and reciprocated their love by shaking hands with them.

Children waved the Tricolour and chanted ‘Modi Modi’ in the prime minister’s welcome. Modi was seen going to each one of them and shaking hands with them.
