Money influences Geopolitics, Equipped Armies decides Country’s destiny: India’s NSA Doval

New Delhi, Oct 15 : Indian National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval said that armies that are better equipped called the shots and decides the destiny of the country and asserted that technology and money are influencing geopolitics.Further all the three chiefs of military also emphasized on the modern technology weapons for war.

Speaking on how to equip Indian Army , Navy and Air force for the war, the three chiefs of military demanded to bring in future warfare such as development of cyber, space, laser, electronic and robotic technologies,artificial intelligence and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

“Either you’re better than your adversaries or you’re not there at all. In modern world, technology&money are 2 things which will influence geopolitics. Who’ll win, will depend upon who has preponderance over their adversaries on these. Second the technology is more important,”Doval said.
” Armies that were better equipped always called the shots and decided the destiny of mankind. They were always the one which had higher technologies. India’s own historical experience on this has been sad, we were the runner-up. There is no trophy for the runner up,”Doval said at Drdo Directors 41st Conference In Delhi on Tuesday.
“Niche technologies are something that make India more security. It has to be need based.We along with our defence services&intelligence agencies have to make a hard assessment that what are our needs which will give us an edge over our adversaries,” he said.

Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said, ” We are looking at systems for future warfare. We have to start looking at development of cyber, space, laser, electronic and robotic technologies and artificial intelligence. “

” DRDO has made strides in ensuring that requirements of the services are met through home-grown solutions. We are confident that we will fight and win the next war through indigenised weapons systems and equipment,” Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said at 41st DRDO Directors Conference.

Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh said, “I have three suggestions-one is impetus has to be on niche technology. Second, we must take a closer look at models such as DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) in the US. Third, we need to encourage small time innovators.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat, IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria and Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh paid tributes to former President APJ Abdul Kalam, at DRDO (Defence Research and Development Orgamisation) Bhawan, on his birth anniversary on Tuesday.
