Pakistan sending drones in Punjab: Will Indian Home Ministry assist Congress ruled state?

Chandigarh, Oct 8 A Chinese made Pakistan drone was spotted entering Indian territory through the Hussainiwala border in Punjab’s Ferozepur district on Monday night and thereafter a search operation has been launched.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah has shown biased approach to the states which are not ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party not just to let down the Congress or the other regional parties but this also highlights the revengeful attitude of the Modi government towards the people of India.

The Modi government is behaving as if the people of India has committed a crime by not electing the BJP and the proof of the above said statement is when Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh drones informed PM Modi about the Chinese made drones coming from Pakistan to drop arms into Punjab due to the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan after the abrogation of Article370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, the issue was raised by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, asking Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene.
The development gains significance in view of reports of heavy-duty unmanned aerial vehicles dropping a large number of AK-47 assault rifles, satellite phones and grenades in the state’s Tarn Taran district a few weeks ago.

But the Home Ministry has handed over the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA)for further probing. The drones were allegedly sent by Pakistan to smuggle weapons into India via Punjab.

Amarinder Singh said his government was fully prepared to counter the resurgence of terror threat from Pakistan. He said Pakistan drone threat should not be linked to the religious occasion of the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev.

The police said the terror group – Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) was conspiring to unleash a series of strikes in Punjab and neighbouring states. During the investigation, police revealed that drones were used to airdrop arms and ammunition from Pakistan.

NIA team is in Punjab to probe but it is being perceived that Amit Shah wants that the Congress government in Punjab to fail so that the blame for the resurgence of terror groups can be put on Amarinder Singh, with the result the BJP can again claim to be the sole nationalists.

But it is pertinent to mention that Indian borders were also safe in the hands of Congress regimes. And the BJP has been voted as the people wanted to have a taste of the other alternative.

The police have intensified their search operation after the Border Security Force informed about the drone’s sighting.

The drone was seen flying on the Pakistan side from 10 p.m. to 10.40 p.m. and again at 12.25 a.m. when it entered the Indian side, officials said.

Punjab Police is already engaged in investigating the weapons consignments apparently smuggled into India from across the border by the two drones recovered near the Indo-Pakistan border over the last around one month.

Police teams are also trying to ascertain the links of the terror groups involved in sending these drones from Pakistan, said a police spokesperson said on September 27.
