Tehran to resume flights to Dushanbe


Tehran Aug 7:  In an effort to increase trade ties with Tajikistan, Iran on Tuesday revealed that Tehran is set to resume its flights to Dushanbe.

Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami met Tajikistan Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran Nizam al-Din Zahedi on Monday and said that air route between Mashhad and Dushanbe has been relaunched to resume flights between Tehran and Dushanbe.

As both the countries has age-old and historical ties, talks were held to take the bilateral relationsip to another level.

The ambassador termed ‘roads and transport’ as important fields of cooperation between Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan and added, “development of roads has been the key agenda of Tajikistan government since its establishment and in this field.”
