Terror alert in India after intel says Pakistani commandos ‘likely to infiltrate’

New Delhi, Aug 29 : All ports in Gujarat, including Kandla port have been put on high alert after Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh revealed that Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)’ and Pakistani commandoes are likely to infiltrate into Indian territory through Kutch area, through sea route.

An underwater wing of Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has been trained to enter India via sea route to carry out attacks in India.

The Indian Navy is fully prepared to thwart any such attempt, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh said in Pune.

Security forces, including Border Security Force and the Indian Coast Guard have been asked to stay alert and to carry out patrolling along with the seaports, sources said.

Intelligence inputs warned that Pakistan-trained SSG commandoes or terrorists ‘would try to enter Gulf of Kutch and Sir Creek area using small boats.
